- (1) Entry Procedure: You must complete this
form and send it along with tracks CD OR name of song, artist and
key for the song you are wishing to perform, photograph of yourself up to
8x10 and entry fee to Branson
Country Music Showcase #1 Country Music Lane West Branson Bluffs, Missouri
65656 by March 1, 2008. Void where prohibited by law.
- (2) Performance: The following applies to
each contestant. (A) Each act entered must perform the song
originally chosen and listed on this form. No changes or
substitutions we be permitted once the showcase has begun. Once an
individual has dropped out or quit, they can not perform at this locations
showcase again until next year. They are free to enter in another
location. (B) "BCMS" may, at its discretion,
provide our house band for acts requiring instrumental support or allow
contestant's to use Karaoke tracks. (C) Each act must perform
live. No special lighting, sound or special effects may be
used. (D) The length of time for each contestant shall not
exceed seven (7) minutes. (E) All performances must be done
in clean family style: no offensive materials and/or lyrics will be
permitted. (F) Performances will be judged on the following:
Marketability, Vocal Ability, Originality, Stage Presence and Charisma and
Overall Talent. (G) In the event of a tie, a run off will be
determined by audience applause.
- (3) Promotional Authorization: By
submitting an Entry Form, the act grants "BCMS" and/or any of
its affiliates the right to publish the acts name, likeness, image, voice,
appearance and performance in perpetuity worldwide for advertising, trade
or any other lawful promotional purposes whatsoever, in any and all media
known or thereafter developed, without compensation. The act also
grants right to broadcast, market, sell and otherwise distribute my name,
image, likeness, voice, appearance, and performance, either in whole or in
parts for commercial, non-commercial television, close-circuit exhibition,
home video distribution, internet or any other purpose "BCMS",
in their sole discretion may determine. I hereby give all clearance,
copyright or otherwise, for the use of my name, likeness, image, voice,
appearance and performance embodied in my presentation. If under 18,
the parent/guardian's signature is proper release for the above
mentioned.
- (4) Good Character: The act agrees that it
may be disqualified immediately from the showcase if the act commits any
act or becomes involved in any situation that would adversely reflect on
the showcase or any party furnishing a prize, or tend to bring it or that
party into public disrepute. All decisions are final and any dispute
must be sent via e-mail and will be presented to the board of directors
for review.
- (5) Assumption of risk: By submitting this
entry form, the act assumes all risks of property damage or bodily injury
including death that might occur during the event. The act agrees
not to bring against "BCMS" or any of its affiliates any claim
for property damage or bodily injury including death that might occur
during the event.
- (6) Eligibility: To be eligible; (A)
The act agrees that they have not performed on a record listed with
Billboard, Radio and Records or the Gavin Report within eighteen months
prior to the event. (B) The act has paid the entry fee in
full before performing at the event. (C) The act agrees that
they are not related to anyone involved with the showcase, including but
not limited to the staff, judges, band, sponsors and/or anyone affiliated
with the event.
- (7) Prizes: The Grand Prize Winner
will receive a "10 Song" recording contract at a professional
recording studio located in Nashville, Tn. It will be the responsibility
of the winner to travel to and stay in the Nashville area for the duration
of the recording session(s). Each entrant will receive a special
package full of "How-To" information to help further their
career, a DVD of their live performance and a professional photo session
at the event.
- (8) Updates: The act agrees that
these rules and regulations can and may be changed and/or updated at
anytime.
